PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Visa requirements
All delegates visiting Ireland require a valid passport. For delegates arriving from countries that require visa information this information can be obtained from any Irish Embassy or Consulate or at www.justice.ie.

Liability and insurance
The organising committee of ENHR 2008 does not accept any liability for personal injury, loss or damage of property belonging to, or additional expenses incurred by, conference participants either during the conference or as a result of delays, strikes or any other causes. Participants are requested to make their own arrangements regarding health and travel insurance.

Currency
The Euro is the official currency for the Republic of Ireland.

Time zone
Ireland is located in the GMT Zone.

Electricity
The voltage in Ireland is 220/240 volts (50 cycles)..

Weather
Dublin’s climate is mild and changeable, with summer temperatures ranging between 15 and 20°C. Rainfall is common, so the most important items to bring are a raincoat and/or umbrella.

Business hours
Shops
Most shops are open from Monday to Saturday between 9am and 6pm, and on Sundays 11am–6pm. The City Centre Shops have late night opening on Thursday nights until 9 pm. Shopping Centre’s open 9.00–7.00 Monday to Wednesday and 9.00–9.00 Thursday and Friday.

Banks
Banks are open from Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm. They remain open on Thursdays until 5pm.

Post Offices
Post offices are open from Monday to Friday, between 9 am and 5 pm.

Pharmacies
Regular business hours are Monday to Saturday between 9am and 6pm. Most would open until 9pm on Thursday and Friday. On nights and weekends, pharmacies are open on a rotation schedule.

Restaurants
Usually restaurants are open for lunch from 11am to 2:30/3pm and for dinner from 5:30-11pm.
