The conference will address various issues relevant to this overarching theme in both urban and rural locations. Plenary sessions will address current debates on topics such as balanced regional development, urban and rural development, sociospatial segregation, new suburban communities, the role of migration and tourism, developments in post socialist societies, as well as issues which are specific to rural areas.
